Acute Parkinsonism:  DDx

  • Stroke or other basal ganglia lesion
  • Hydrocephalus
  • Infectious:  Encephalitis lethargica
  • Toxic:  CO, cyanide, organophosphate, MPTP, manganese
  • Central pontine myelinolysis
  • Meds:  chemotherapy, neuroleptics
